Te Rakau Whenua Working Bee

On Friday 23rd and Saturday 24th October our school celebrated World 350 Day (International Day of Climate Action) along with thousands of young New Zealanders and people all over the world, by planting trees on the side of our field, to extend the native garden (Te Rakau Whenua).

There is now a concrete pathway along the side of the field to the entrance of Te Rakau Whenua.

Parents/caregivers, children and teachers came along to plant native trees and shrubs, spread mulch and extend Te Rakau Whenua further along our eastern boundary.

Thank you to those parents, children and staff who came along and gave their time so enthusiastically.
