Feet First Travelwise Launch

On Wednesday 19th March 2008, 60 children from Tirimoana School walked to Rangeview Intermediate School. They participated in a gathering to raise awareness of walking as a healthy and sensible option for getting to school. The roads around our schools are becoming very congested and walking is such a good way to stay fit and healthy.

There was an official powhiri, the Rangeview Kapa Haka Group performed and our own Tiri students performed a dance they had learned for the occasion. Our M.P. the Honourable Chris Carter spoke and our school was awarded with a certificate for actively participating in the Feet First Campaign.
