Year 5 Education Outside the Classroom

During the week of 18th October the Year 5 Syndicate enjoyed a number of activities outside the classroom and in the community.

They picked up rubbish at a local park and found their way around Henderson on foot. They had a 'splash' afternoon on Friday 22nd. A rock-climbing experience had been planned for this week but a freak accident during delivery of the 'wall' meant that this experience was transferred to the following week. There were fun races and trust games and outdoor cooking!

Children certainly enjoyed all of the opportunities that were provided by their teachers, Mrs Louise Graham, Whaea Kura Tuhura and Mr Alan Burke.  Many thanks to those teachers for their hard work and careful planning.

Of course the week would not have been possible without the input and valued help of parents. We are so lucky at Tirimoana School to have such a fabulous supportive community of parents who come along and get stuck in to activities. You are truly amazing!
